Introduction to Black and White Photography. What makes a good Black and White shot?
We will look at the contrast and using textures. How does the camera see the image and how do we create Black and White images in a camera or in post-production. We will look for some good examples and set some exercises.
This is a more advanced course and assumes you understand the basics of photography and controlling your camera.

Many people don't think about nighttime being a good time to do photography since there's a lack of light. However, armed with knowledge about your camera's settings and the properties of light, nighttime photography can be a lot of fun.
In this meetup, you'll learn about the best camera settings for nighttime photography. We'll also explore the kinds of light available to us and how to use that light to make some awesome photos. As always, there are exercises that will help you put your new knowledge to work.

This meetup goes over some basic dos and don'ts for posing and looks at issues to do with shooting in daylight for the best results. Included are: shooting different body types, men, women and shooting with strong sunlight and shooting in shade, and designing your background (composition). On this meet,up you are encouraged to bring along family or friends as models.
You will preferably need a normal, 85mm or longer lens, or a zoom. If you have a wide-angle this can also be used as we will be also looking at environmental portraits.
This is the perfect meetup to learn how to take the perfect portraits of family and friends.

In this session, we will be covering how to better understand Architecture photography and we'll be looking at ways to take some impressive shots and the camera settings to use.
Timelapse Workshop (Shooting)

In this workshop we will explain how to shoot stunning timelapses using digital cameras, we will talk about the importance of understanding manual mode and about best approaches and measures to get the most out of a timelapse. We will do the workshop in a crowded area where we can take timelapse videos of passing cars, clouds and people. The workshop will be structured as follows:
- How timelapse works.
- Essential camera settings for time-lapse (review of manual mode)
- Difference between time-lapse and hyper-lapse.
- FPS, interval settings, and time needed.
- Understanding weather and light
- Choosing the subject (cars, clouds, sun, people..)
- Hands-on: practicing shooting a timelapse.
- Quick overview of editing process.
Note: Participants need to double check if their camera is capable of shooting timelapse, and to bring a tripod.

In this workshop we will dive more into camera features and functions that will help us understand different parameters and how we can use it to take better photos. This workshop is a continue for the previous workshop "Shooting in Manual Mode Part 1", we will review previous basic concepts briefly and focus on:
- Review exposure triangle and white balance.
- Lenses (mounts, brands, focal length, minimum focus distance, stabilization, prime and zoom, uses of lenses).
- Resolution and aspect ratio.
- Aperture priority and shutter priority modes and when to use it.
- Focus modes.
- Specific features and settings (interval shooting, self-timer, bracketing, metering, exposure value EV).
- Cameras capabilities in modern phones.
- Practice.
