The photo was taken at Preston Tower in Northumberland - a private museum based in a 14th century fortified house. I was walking up a winding staircase and saw this small bowl in the window. I loved the combination of the smooth form of the simple bowl, the shadow of the evening sun and the texture of the stone (I'm a stone mason by trade, so it I'm a soft touch for an interesting piece of stonework!)The shot was taken on 35mm B&W 'Washi Z', which is classed as a 'near infrared' film, using

I was just returning home from my morning dog walk across the fields on the outskirts of Wroughton, when I spotted the little Robin in amongst the frosty leaves of a hedge by the Junior School. The leaf colour,I felt made, a nice match to the Robin's red breast, so having my camera (Sony HX400V bridge camera) with me, I got in quite close for the photo. It was taken on 10th December 2022 & settings were 1250 ISO, F5.6 at 1/250s.

Working on trying new things! Plucked this Puff out of my front yard flower bed. Used a small compact mirror to create the shot using natural daylight thorough the window. As a deep space photographer, I like to take photos of outer space targets that our eyes cannot see. These photos require a lot of patience and a lot of clear nights reason why my telescopes are working almost every night when it isn't cloudy. Astrophotography is very different from all the other types of photography, a single photo sometimes requires tens of hours under the clear night sky but the result is very satisfying. In this photo, I would like to present to you the California Nebula

This is part of a huge street art display, a real gem in Leeds. I loved the different displays of hands walking, creates a real sense of movement and intrigue. Photo was taken around 11am. The light you see shining on the hand is from a wall light. Camera setting - F4.2, 1/400 shutter and ISO 200.
