Weather aside I thought the event was great from multiple perspectives. It was helpful to have such a knowledgable teacher, and to have a model in order to demonstrate the theory and practice what we were taught. Despite the weather not being particularly cooperative, we made the most of it!

I loved the detail on this lizard. However, the background was very similar to the lizard body colour. In Lightroom I picked a background preset which toned it down somewhat, but not enough. So created a mask and turned down the background even further. A little ?pop? on the lizard skin and I was finished. I hope you like it.

This photo was taken at Badbury Clump. I was experimenting for the first time with some lensball photography. It was taken on the Canon M50 mark ii shooting in manual mode with a low aperture to give the photo the bokeh effect in the background, putting full focus on the lensball and the image within it. I then edited the photo in photoshop to rotate the image within the lensball.

I had to watch for breaking waves behind me while taking photographs to avoid bring dunked and I had to tun for it several times. Happily it all worked out and I captured a great images.

The photo was taken at Emsworth, a very picturesque harbour on the south coast of England. The sea was incredibly calm making it like a mirror, and the morning light was soft and warm in colour. I was stood on the harbour wall and framed the shot to include the sunken boat to give it scale and perspective.
